Community Service Block Grant Funding (CSBG)

Platte County Tripartite Board
Requirements: People requesting CSBG services from partnering agencies must be at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). (This is currently considered less than $15175/ year for a single person; adding $5400/year for each additional family member.)
Proof of income for the last 30 days, and proof of identity required.
The following agencies / programs were awarded CSBG funding for the period 10/1/18 through 09/30/19.
- Services for Seniors: funds are primarily for Senior Citizens; to provide Nutrition, Personal alarms, In Home care, & Transportation(bus)
- Project SAFE, Inc.: funding used for Victims of Crime & General public: Provide grants-in-aid for safety-related emergency assistance; transportation, meals, case management; Shelter including emergency and/or rental/utility deposits to flee abuser. Rent/housing/utility assistance; some medical/mental health/dental/medication assistance; some childcare and employment assistance.
